FAQ's

Is my Physiotherapist fully qualified?

All our staff are fully qualified physiotherapist and members of The Chartered society of Physiotherapy (CSP), and registered with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC). Our physio's registration can be checked on the HCPC website.

Do I need to be referred by my Doctor?

You do not need a Doctor's referral in order for us to treat you. There are some health insurance providers (E.g. Westfield Health Scheme) who require your GP's referral/agreement before commencing treatment - please check with your own individual provider.

If you are in doubt whether physiotherapy is suitable for you please call for advice.

Will you tell me at the start of my treatment how many sessions I will need?

Your physiotherapist should be able to give you some idea of how many sessions you are likely to require. The aim of the treatment is to provide you with optimum recovery as quickly as possible. Treatment will never be prolonged unnecessarily, and you will always be in control regarding number of times you attend.

Do you do home visits?

Yes, although we have more facilities at the clinic. If you are unable to attend the clinic due to mobility problems we would be happy to visit and treat you in your home. Please ring the clinic to discuss your situation.

Can I attend for private physio when I am on a NHS waiting list?

Yes we are happy to treat you while you are waiting for your NHS appointment and if necessary will liaise with the NHS physio who will continue with your treatment.

Will I be charged if my appointment is cancelled at short notice?

We require 24 hours notice for changing or cancelling an appointment. The clinic reserves the right to charge for missed appointments.

How will payment be taken?

We offer flexible terms of payment including direct settlement options from insurance companies. Payment may be made by Cash, Cheque, Credit/Debit card or BACS.
